Our Purpose

Our organization takes great care to coordinate a fair and equitable selection process to ensure that each scholarship is awarded to a deserving student. The Foundation does not make multiple awards to the same student.

Our ultimate goal is to create an endowment to which benefactors may contribute and from which annual scholarships can be awarded.

All contributions to the Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation are tax deductible.

In the fall of 2005, SWIEF awarded over $540,000 in scholarship money to 176 students for the 2005-06 school year.
